Mission accomplished, sort of

Via Michelle Malkin: This historical evidence of Zionist perfidy.

I had a busy day today. I got in all my book orders for the fall, which means of course that a couple hours later, one last instructor came in with his list, which I’ll have to call in tomorrow. No big deal. But I know that if I’d made the order Monday, he’d have brought it in on Monday afternoon.

Now I’m going to reward myself by taking a vacation week starting Monday (pending my boss’s approval). I propose to go nowhere on this vacation. I’ll stay home, vegetate, and (hopefully) work on my book. Travel is nice, but staying home and doing whatever I like is the real luxury.

I’ll keep blogging, though.

When I feel like it.

  1. Hello Lars, you and I conversersed some years ago via email. You gave me some good advice about writing that I have not followed and so it is not surprosing that I have not yet finished my own Viking story. Just found your website and this site. I was wondering why you are looking for a new publisher. Also, do you think that Viking novels are a bust? Kind of got that impression from your Beowulf movie comments below. I read both of your Erling novels years ago and really enjoyed them. I have been waiting for more Ering. Is there another story waiting in the wings? I have just read an excellent Viking novel called The Deepest Sea by Charles Barnitz. It was his first novel copywrited in 1996 and have not been able to find anything else by him. Have you read this book? Anyway, it was very nice to find you still out there living life the way you want. Regards, Mike

  2. Hi, Mike. Nice to hear from you.

I’m looking for a new publisher because my old publisher (to put it bluntly) dumped me. Not without cause, I might add. (Gotta be fair.)

I was just being morbid about Viking books being a bust. That’s my style. Though I don’t see much evidence that there’s a big market for them.

Haven’t read the Barnitz book. Sounds good.

I’ve been living by this motto for years. Works for me!
