  1. National Geographic (not my favorite mag) had a major article on this subject some time back. (I would remind people that many people have died as a result of overdosing on caffeine; including a well known athlete in my local area.)

  2. Yeah – but you have to SERIOUSLY overdo it for that to happen. Basically, there are no health downsides to caffeine that they have found unless you are way over the top. In college, I drank 8-10 cups of full strength a day. That was too much – but it certainly wasn’t going to kill me. Now I drink about the same amount of coffee – but it’s only about 30% caffeinated – switching to decaf in the evening. More than you wanted to know, I’m sure…
