Sissel song: “Marry Me”

I don’t usually post on weekends, but I just found a YouTube link to share. I’m about a light year behind everybody else on things like this, and I’ve only been exploring YouTube recently. I checked out The Divine Sissel, and found that this number is available.

It’s a country song, which isn’t her usual medium, but I think it’s a lot of fun, and it might help explain my enthusiasm for this really remarkable talent. Also check her rendition of the contemporary gospel number, “My Tribute.”

  1. Bravo! very trained voice… great range and control. She can really hit those high c’s. I fully understand why you like her. Clean. Fresh. Rich. Unique. Fun. You can tell she enjoys what she is doing which makes it fun for her audience also.

She is a find, Lars. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Unfortunately the video pointed to by “this number” is now marked as “This video has been removed due to terms of use violation.”

I was enjoying Sissel on YouTube and remembered you had some links. Alas, at least one is no longer there.

  3. Yeah, I noticed that too, when I looked for it the other day. Ah well, I have a certain theoretical stake in copyright laws myself.

Besides I have the original DVD 🙂
