A family member sent me a link to the following video, about a brand new Viking exhibition in Oslo:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gbedaw8-eAQ\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can read more about the exhibition in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medieval.eu\/new-viking-exhibition-in-oslo\/\">this article<\/a> from medieval.eu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> Due to unforeseen reparations being carried out at the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo, the opening of a new Viking exhibition has been rescheduled. End of March \u2013 hopefully \u2013 visitors will be able to enjoy a bonanza of the more spectacular archaeological finds from the last ten years; add to this a selection of some of the highlights from an earlier time, and visitors may expect an enjoyable tour of the Norwegian Viking past. Later in 2025, when the new museum opens at Bygd\u00f8y, the treasures will be transferred there, supplementing the finds from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.medieval.eu\/ship-burials-sutton-hoo-karmoy-oseberg\/\">Oseberg<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.medieval.eu\/gokstad-boat\/\">Gokstad<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.medieval.eu\/ship-burials-sutton-hoo-karmoy-oseberg\/\">Tune<\/a>. Perhaps finds from the newly discovered\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sciencenordic.com\/viking-ship-discovered-norway\">Viking boat in \u00d8stfold<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 as yet not excavated \u2013 will join the older treasures <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lots of cool stuff here. I&#8217;m pleased that the video maker, who rejoices in the extremely Norwegian name, Bjorn Andreas Bull-Hansen, is not entirely convinced that women warriors existed, like me.
