Not unhappily beleaguered. I have paying work to do, and that\u2019s always cause for rejoicing. But I\u2019m looking at a big job here \u2013 bigger than I expected. What I\u2019ve got is a full-length feature film to translate. I haven\u2019t done a lot of those, and I\u2019ve never done one all by myself before. (I\u2019ve done a whole miniseries, but that\u2019s different.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A full film script, in case you\u2019re interested, runs a little under 100 pages in this case. My rough reckoning is that I can translate two pages per hour. So we\u2019re talking about better than a week\u2019s work here, figuring eight hours to the day. And then I\u2019ll have to proofread and polish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Money in my pocket. Merry Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In lieu of a book review or anything interesting to say, I post the one, the only Sissel Kyrkjeb\u00f8 above, singing \u201cHark! The Herald Angels Sing.\u201d She\u2019s accompanied by a heretic choir and orchestra, but on the other hand they use the old \u201cBorn to raise the sons of earth\u201d line, unaltered by political correctness.
