That’s good. I didn’t understand their combat rules from the fights seen here. The men seemed to take blow after blow without dropping. Are they fighting round after round without pausing, or are they taking a certain number of hits before defeat?
They seem to be strictly following the “three strike” rule as far as I can tell. In other words, if a blow falls on mail, it doesn’t hurt you the first 2 times, but if you get hit in the same place a 3rd time, it’s considered a killing or wounding blow. I was a little frustrated watching that one guy’s refusal to die, but he’s probably being more realistic than we tend to be in our group.
That’s probably the same thing I noticed. In the first battle, the swordsman seems to lay his blade on the shoulder the axeman so much I thought that blows to the chainmail may not count. And leg blows too.
