I don’t really know that much about the TV habits of non-geeks.
Geeks like Geek shows–but it’s like those 50s sitcoms with beatniks and the 60s shows with hippies. It’s awfully rare to find the real thing.
On the other hand, there is a sexy female. The last time I noticed, both geeks and non geeks watch shows with sexy young women. One of those areas of common humanity, I guess.
Sexy young women don’t have to act. Breathing is plenty.
Geeks rule!
But have you seen these ads, and the way the geeks talk? Not what I’d call a sympathetic portrayal.
The young blond was annoying on 8 Simple Rules. One of the geeks was annoying on Rosanne. So far, the annoyance factor is too high for me.
I noticed some time back that I’ve pretty much given up on TV comedy. Dumb, dirty, and unoriginal.
