Ok, Denise, how do you score on this coffee quiz? I got 10/10! Of course, I used the hints extensively, but I had a good idea before I clicked on most questions.

I, too, was 10 for 10 but I admit to guessing wildly on the Marie Theresa question and the location of the most coffeehouses in a city. I went with my gut answers on the rest, even when checking the hints, and got them right.
So I guess this shows I am over familiar with the vices of the rich and well-traveled, even though I am neither!
I was amazed a couple of years ago when I went to Kenya on a short-term mission trip….in a coffee growing country, the coffee served in every restaurant except the best was freeze-dried Nescafe. And in the best restaurants, coffee was served via the French press method and brewed at the table. That was tasty. The Nescafe was not.
I’d never heard of a Marie Theresa either, and Nescafe? Yeww. There’s a ministy in Kenya giving women job skills and opportunity that sells Kenyan coffee in a homemade bag. http://www.amaniafrica.org–well, they don’t appear to sell it anymore, but they did in the beginning. I think the coffee came from the grocery store, but it was locally grown.
