The story of the appalling shooting incident at Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church seems extremely strange, judging from early reports.
The shooter is described as hating liberals and homosexuals. But he’s also described as hating the Bible and all churches.
He appears to have been a deranged man with a wide range of resentments.
In any case, his actions were evil.
I thought about blogging on this story too. What a hateful act.

Our church has a professional security patrol guy out in the parking lot for those of us who lock our purses in the truck….(along with the recycling.)heh heh.
Also, male greeters come out to the parking lot to offer their arm for us ladies to be escorted into the church. I am entirely spoiled by this. These are big burly guys who I suspect are packing “heat.” (They are in law enforcement.) I don’t ask…. I don’t want to know….
Sadly, a sign of the times.
