9/11, 7 years later

Today I’m thinking about people standing at the edge of a void, weeping in terror, a raging fire at their backs.

I’m thinking of those lonely, lonely falls.

I’m thinking of passengers on planes, calming their children, and calling loved ones on their cell phones to say goodbye.

I’m thinking of “Let’s roll.”

Never forget. Never forget.

  1. At the risk of sounding barbaric and blood thirsty, you should also think of the exchange rate. They destroyed two office buildings. We conquered two countries, one that was under Islamic rule and one that could have fallen under Islamic rule once the aged dictator holding it died. Both countries are currently being shoved into the 21st century as fast as we can do it.

Things are looking bleak for the cause of political Islam, a lot worse than they looked seven years ago, or even a decade before that. While we mourn our loses, we should remember that we are winning, and the world is becoming a safer place.

  2. I’m going to loudly not argue with you about that. When the sheep forget about wolves and their main concern is the sheepdogs, it means the sheepdogs are really good at their job.
