But it ought to be noted that gluttony is a harder sin to control than most others. I think St. Augustine noted somewhere that while it’s possible to refrain entirely from drinking alcohol, it’s not possible to refrain entirely from eating. So moderation must be attained, a far more difficult feat than abstention.
