As one without a drop of Irish blood that I know of, let me wish our Irish readers a blessed St. Patrick’s Day.
After all, what was it that made Ireland great?
Vikings, of course.
No need to thank me. Just send a girl who looks like Maureen O’Sullivan.
“New research suggests they were model immigrants who co-existed peacefully with the natives” ?!
That’s why they wanted to peacefully conquer the Saxons, eh?
Precisely.
I was so busy celebrating St. Urho’s day that I completely forgot about that Irish usurper.
Give it up. What has Finland done for the world, I ask you? What have they done? Ireland practically saved the civilization, but what has Finland done?
Finland has given us Pamela Anderson.
No, wait…
Finland has provided most of the population of Upper Michigan and the iron range of Minnesota. Without Finns, those would be empty wastelands. Also, if I recall correctly, the greatest evangelist in the history of the AFLC, Herb Franz, was not a Norwegian, but a Finn. PTL for the Suomi Synod.
And where would we be without tail Finns, shark Finn soup, and Huckleberry Finn?
We would be finn-ished. 🙂
Dr Boli has enlightened me to understand that the Irish Shamrock is not really a plant, but a fake stone.
What did we ever do before there was Dr. Boli?
