I must share this commercial. You may have seen it already. Apparently over 700,000 have watched it on YouTube. If I didn’t already love using Old Spice, this ad would make me consider trying it.

Hadn’t seen that before. I think Old Spice is getting its mojo back. It started when they brought back the ship on the bottle.
I think you’re right.
My dad has used Old Spice all his life…He bought it by the case! At nearly 99, I think he still uses it….. Whenever I smell the stuff, to this day, I think of him….
No offense to anyone… but I really can’t enjoy the smell of the stuff…….
For that matter, all the Walker uncles in Iowa used Old Spice! Even the Walkers in Arizona! I am beginning to think that Old Spice is a Walker conspiracy!
On the other hand, I may have found the solution to the mystery as to why so many of the Walkers have lived for so very long!
Old Spice each day keeps the Reaper away! Maybe that could be their new slogan!!!! I wonder if I can claim a copyright on that???? (Where will I spend my first million????)
I belong to the short-lived branch of the family. But I use Old Spice, so maybe it will be all right.
“Look again — the tickets are now diamonds!”
Pure gold. Er, precious stones, I mean.
You know, Old Spice putting their ship back on their bottle could have been inspired by this blog. We’re on the cutting edge, you know. Their marketing guys probably read us from time to time.
And if that’s true, I think I’d like to see a little compensation . . .
I’m sure they have a few ships sitting around. They could send one to each of us.
I remember “borrowing” my dad’s Old Spice as a young man. Still have some in the cabinet, but recently I have reverted to the Brut of my youth.
Can a chick chime in? (—more like an old stewing hen now.) I always thought Old Spice was a bit too sweet, but when I was a wee lass, all the men in my life wore it. Recently I had to dispose of an elderly relative’s personal toiletries, and I poured out several bottles of old Old Spice.
When I was a teenager, I was wild about the scent of Yardley Black Label—don’t know if it is still available though.
However, Husband has never worn cologne; he uses after shave only, and he loves Nivea for sensitive skin. It has very little scent, and what there is has a nice soapy smell that fades quickly.
I used to make him unscented aftershave with witch hazel, grain alcohol, and distilled water—which he wore until the Nivea for sensitive skin came out.
My father was an Old Spice man. Haven’t smelled that in years.
When I use any sort of scent (which is infrequent–usually just Sunday mornings and evenings out with my dear wife), it’s bay rum, another manly scent.
Did anyone ever notice that in the Incredibles, the cologne that Lucius (Frozone) splashes on right before the Omnidroid careens past the window is Hai Karate? Now there’s a blast from the past.
My after-shave is hydrogen peroxide.Keeps me from getting infections in the nicks from razor shaving, and no scent to make my eyes water.
What a good wife! You made your husband aftershave. That’s impressive.
I’ve already darkened this subject but after seeing all the memory thoughts folks are flying in with, I think I’ll add another.
In high school, Brute was my brand. I actually had girls stop me in the hall, put their arms around me, take a deep inhale and moan………..honest injun!
If you read the “Art of Manliness” blog, you know Bay Rum is the scent of choice for “real men”…..
All this reminds me of a long long story……..
This is a funny, cute idea to get people talking about a product that has been around for years.
