“But what if a society had trouble leaving behind their old gods because they were real? What if Christianity wasn’t the only true myth?”
– I wonder if you agree with her statement Lars. I don’t see how there can be more than one true myth. (I assume she’s referring to the opinion of CS Lewis that pagan myths are approximations of Biblical truth.)
– Are the ‘gods’ in the book supposed to be real? (I didn’t think so; only that people thought they were.)
– You might not want to get into this subject I realize. (I tend to agree with those who think a novel should speak for itself, as it were.)
– Lars; what about producing an audio version of your novel. You’ve got a good voice for it I think (having heard you on radio). Audio books seem to be gaining a lot of popularity… and this might spark interest in your work.
I have a plan to do the first chapter as a narrated slide video. A couple friends who are professionals offered to help me with it, but one backed out and the other doesn’t seem to know me anymore. So I guess I’ll have to to do it myself. When I get some time.
As long as YOU go forward, (and not back out), and YOU know your self and YOU stick with the Lord and all will be well. This is what counts! Just remember what Icky Schwartz said.
Good review, but I want a sequel!
Then get all your friends to buy the book, because the way it’s selling now, it ain’t happenin’.
Good review. Any news about the sequel?
See above.
Sorry to read that (I wrote while you posted, I assume). I tried to advertise your book a bit, but I’ll see if I can do better.

For the sake of fantasy, I imagine that the old gods have some sort of reality (in most cases, demonic).
Sr,
I don’t see how there could be more than one true myth, either–that’s why I said “What if”. 🙂
Rachel; I guess I misread you.

Look forward to it.
