Pray for North Korea. I learned today that 100 years ago, Pyongyang witnessed a huge revival, so much so that the city was called the Jerusalem of the East.
That is fascinating. Not only because it’s so surprising (and encouraging) to learn that about Pyongyang, but also because revivals were happening at a number of different places in the world at about the same time, such as the well-known Welsh revival, the revival among Norwegian-Americans, and even what we Protestants might term a revival among the Orthodox in Kronstadt, Russia.
And here I always thought *Jerusalem* was the Jerusalem of the East. ๐
