"To you, O LORD, I cry, and to the Lord I plead for mercy: "What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness? Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me! O LORD, be my helper!" "

- Psalm 30:8-10, English Standard Version

I'm tempted to plagiarize this, but I guess I won't.

  1. My only trip out of the U.S. has been for a tryst in Argentina.
  2. I used to work at the post office, but I spent my time writing instead of delivering the mail.
  3. I went spelunking several years ago, slipped on the rope, and fell 30-40 feet.
  4. I used to own a Prius before the radio got stuck on Air America and wouldn't turn off.
  5. I currently advise the next president of the United States.
  6. I can "hear" the scream of murder inside a person's heart from miles away. (You get used to it.)

Now, who else might enjoy this award?
Really, there's no need to thank me.

Three be truth, I think.

And, Phil, if we acknowledge the legtimacy of original sin, isn't number six truth all the time? Eh? Isn't it?

This is great!
I'm definitely doing this...

Loren, that would hang on definitions. I was thinking of a detail I have imagined about a telepath who could hear hatred and murder within a person before he acted on it. Yes, we are spiritually depraved, but I don't pretend to hear a psychic scream before a murderer lashes out.

Phil,

Have you ever seen the path of the wind?
Have you ever seen snow falling on cedars?
Have you ever heard the wind blowing through pines?

Have you ever seen how many angels can dance on the edge of a chisel as you sharpen it?
Have you ever known your God to be happy with you?
Have you ever known the peace, awe and wonderment when you see your new born child? (Did you know that during Washington's times, Freegift, was a most popular name for a child, short for Freegift from God.)

Only two of these are movies, (and should be seen), but you need to experience the rest!

5. Phil - 02/17/2010 5:15 pm EST

That's cool. I have seen or known 5/6 of these.

Phil, I think I'd prefer the doctrinal knowledge of such deeds to the auditory. Yikes!
