UPDATE: Dunkin’ Donuts in Chicago is offering free small lattes today from 1:00 to 10:00 p.m. I believe they are 99 cents in other parts of the country. McDonald’s is also trying to win over coffee drinkers during the Starbucks black out.

Wouldn’t you know! I’ve not been out of the house for social reasons for two weeks. I was meeting a friend at Starbucks to go over a story we’re writing together. At 5:00 PM.
Not only will they close nearly the minute we arrive and get comfy, but we will get the barristas before they’ve had their super training and obligatory pep talk.
