As Lars no doubt knows, we’ve had our share of controversy about how to speak of grace in our little branch of Lutheranism. I decided long ago that the best approach is to simply, boldly, use the language that the Bible uses. By the way, “Just As I am” actually is one of the evangelistic hymns most praised by those who are the most concerned about not sounding synergistic.
