Thoroughly enjoyable! I can’t recall if, in other references to Heimskringla, you have recommended any – or ranked various – translations, but would welcome something like that, if you are willing.
Good question. I always say that any translation you find is adequate. I haven’t found one that I’d call bad. Sadly, the ones most available are rather old and incline to archaisms, and Lee Hollander’s newer translation seems to be out of print. However, his verse translations were kind of idiosyncratic. We really could use another, better contemporary translation, to be honest.
