No more than He was grasping at straws when He chose to become flesh and dwell among us. This is the kind of stuff He loves.
I hope people will forgive for attempting to comment on theological matters; but it seems to me language is more than simply a utilitarian capacity. By this I mean, human beings have the capacity to use language for good and for evil. In other words, the capacity exists not only to communicate, but to reveal man’s heart. Adam and Eve used language to lie, to deceive, to rebel against their Creator. And so we all have the same opportunity; every time we speak, we are either honest or we lie; we either conform to God’s character (and revealed law) or we rebel against it.
– what would Andree prefer… tail wagging? (Of course she wouldn’t; but what disturbs me about this piece is that it seems to follow a trend where christians question what God has done, instead of praising it.)
