– I watched it last weekend; that and a romantic comedy called Lars and the Real Girl. (This charming film might be the strangest movie I’ve ever seen. Although I enjoyed it, I don’t think it quite works.)

“Lars and the Real Girl.” What an embarrassing title. And yes, I’ve seen it. And yes, I enjoyed it. But it’s about some alternate universe, not ours.
“Lars and the Real Girl” …. Are you sure this isn’t some long-lost cheese-cake DVD you did in your early youth, before you became Mr. Big-Name-Norsky-America…all American boy next door, famous author, etc…etc….?
