Scott Ross interviews author Anne Rice. She says she was sitting in her office, having held onto the big doubt of God for a long time, when it occurred to her that she didn’t have to know the answers. She simply trusted the Lord and loved him. (via Eric Metaxas)
That interview inspired me to get a couple of her books. The simplicity of her statement about loving God was just beautiful.
Rice had an interesting interview on Focus on the Family, too. It was frustrating, though, to hear her essentially say that the epitome of Christian art was retelling biblical stories. I mean, some of us like Jesus and vampires.
Yeah, but you’re, like, weird and all.
Wow! Watched the whole interview. A terrific job by CBN, and Ms. Rice is amazingly articulate. Mike Horton did a terrific interview with her as well on the White Horse Inn; a very impressive lady.
Well, of course, I am. That’s a given, isn’t it?
