Lanier Ivester finds something worth the trouble of pursuing in the writing of Charles Williams, who no doubt would have authored books today under the name Charlyz will.i.ams. No doubt about it.

I ordered “War in Heaven” and “Descent into Hell” after reading this post. I’ve just about finished “War in Heaven.” Wonderful stuff! I think I ran across Charles Williams when I was a teenager, but I’d forgotten him. “War in Heaven” is like a cross between P.G. Wodehouse and what “The Da Vinci Code” would have been like if the author didn’t have such terminally silly views on politics and religion.
