Someone has prepared a humorous video of a “Spaniard” reading from Gwyneth Paltrow’s cookbook. It’s about two minutes of lines like “Could I use some butter and cheese and eggs in my cooking without going down some kind of hippie shame spiral? Yes. Of course I could.”
That’s funny. I love snark.
Ha! Hilarious!
“Hippie shame spiral”?!? The woman consumed mass quantities of butter, cheese, and eggs, not to mention lambs, chickens, and exotic crustaceans in lavish sauces while cruising through “Spain-On the Road Again,” a travel/food show filmed with Mario Batali and Mark Bittman. Her thoughts on the quarters for the women and children at the Alhambra focused on the architecture rather than the fact they were segregated. But it was all good European, subsidized food so that made the difference I guess.
